Weekend Agenda

Diane Weber 04.23.2021

After a chilly week, a weekend of fun will be much needed. The snow came as a surprise to a lot of people. While this weekend isn’t going to get super warm, there are plenty of spring things to keep your mind set on warmer weather for your weekend agenda.

For starters, all week long 515 Brewing is having a birthday Beercation to celebrate 8 years! They are premiering three new fun and exciting beers to go along with their vacation themed birthday party including a Birthday Cake Coffee Stout, a Piña Colada Milkshake Double IPA and Peach Brandy Barrel-Aged. There will even be a chance to get some birthday presents (there will be a of couple giveaways!) This brewery isn’t the only company that is putting on a week long event. This weekend is the Grand Blue Mile! While registration has closed, you can still join in the fun by going to the website and following along via social media.

Nightingale Cocktail is hosting a Yoga and Cocktails this Friday night. This event is $20 at the door which includes the yoga class and a drink ticket. Enjoy a little unwind with meditative yoga and delicious drinks. If this Friday doesn’t work for you, they will be hosting Yoga and Cocktail nights every Friday through the end of April. This Saturday there is an Earth Day Trash Bash at Swamp White Oak, near Norwalk. It starts at 9am and goes until 11am but you can come for a bit and leave, or you can stay the whole time. The goal of this clean up is to make a better habitat for animals as well as allowing us humans to better enjoy the space. The community will be benefiting from the clean up now and for the future generations.

You weekend agenda has to include a trip to Smash Park. They are simply the king of Sundays. You guessed it, there is a craft and cocktail event. This weekend is macramé rainbows and mimosas! Starting at 10am you can have brunch and cocktails while making a Pinterest worthy decoration for your home. Your weekend can be topped off with a little roller skating at Skate South from 1-3pm for a Sunday Funday. Bring your friends and get ready for the nostalgia!
